Job summary

Fourth Floor is seeking a packaging development engineer in New York to oversee the packaging process from concept through production. You will liaise with senior leadership and overseas factories to align scope, timeline, and budget while ensuring quality.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in packaging or related fields and 1+ year of packaging experience. Strong communication, organization, and cost-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in packaging design, marketing, or project management.
  • Knowledge of Home Furnishing & Textile Industry is a plus.
  • 1+ year of packaging development or engineering experience.
  • Expert on packaging materials and specs; able to negotiate and manage cost.
  • Able to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design practices for packaging.

  • Contact suppliers, customer, and agents/factories to collect and gather all necessary package and product specifications, printing information, limitations, etc.
  • Keep abreast on pending information from suppliers.
  • Attending development meetings with both internal and external teams.
  • Handles the creation and maintenance of packaging technical specification sheets.
  • Communicate in a timely manner the status of project.
