Job summary

Novolex, a leading packaging manufacturer, is seeking a Packaging Associate II in Mineral Wells, WV. The role involves packing products for shipment and ensuring quality as goods move from the conveyor to packaging. You will operate containers, sleeves, and tape operations on a fast-paced line.

Typical shifts run 6:00 am–6:00 pm or 6:00 pm–6:00 am on a 2x2x3 schedule. Starting wage is $16.28 per hour with a $1 night shift differential, plus full benefits.

Responsibilities

• Pack quality product into boxes for shipment.
• Check finished product for quality issues as it comes off the conveyor.
• Pack plastic containers and lids into sleeves and boxes (0–5 lbs).
• Grind scrap material out of sleeves (0–5 lbs).
• Hand tape or send boxed product to the tape machine.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Build and label boxes as needed.
• Grind poor quality product.
• Re-pack product as needed.
• Clean inside and outside of machinery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Packaging Associate II|Mineral Wells, WV|

Compensation:

• Starting pay rate from $16.28/hour-Paid Weekly
• $1 differential for night shift!

Available Shift:

• 6:00 am-6:00 pm 2x2x3 schedule
• 6:00pm-6:00am 2x2x3 schedule

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for packing quality product into boxes for shipment.
• Checks finished product for quality issues, as it comes off the conveyor.
• Packs plastic containers and lids of various sizes into sleeves & boxes (0 to less than 5 pounds).
• Grinding scrap material out of sleeves (0 to less than 5 pounds).
• Hand tape or send boxed product to the "tape machine".
• Responsible for keeping the work area clean.
• Builds and labels boxes as needed.
• Grinds poor quality product.
• Re-packs product as needed.
• Cleans inside and outside of machinery.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly preferred
• Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential.
• Ability to follow standard work instructions is required.
