Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY is seeking a Packaging Associate in Las Vegas to accurately package cannabis products and ensure compliance with METRC, SOPs, and GMP principles.

You will verify IDs, batch numbers, and labels, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Must be 21+, pass background checks, and have basic computer skills.

Qualifications

  • Perform in-process quality inspections including weight verification and seal integrity.

Description

The Packaging Associate reports to the Packaging Manager and is responsible for the accurate, compliant, and efficient packaging, labeling, reconciliation, and documentation of cannabis products for wholesale and retail distribution. This position supports flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, vape cartridges, disposable vaporizers, infused products, and other regulated cannabis products while maintaining compliance with applicable Tribal and regulatory standards, METRC requirements, company SOPs, and applicable GMP principles.

Requirements
Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Manufacturing, food, pharmaceutical, or cannabis packaging experience preferred.
  • Experience working in SOP-driven or GMP environments preferred.
  • Experience with METRC or regulated inventory systems preferred.
Basic Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must successfully pass all required background checks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.
Performance Expectations
  • Maintain packaging accuracy of 99.8% or greater.
  • Zero intentional chain-of-custody violations.
  • Maintain inspection-ready work areas.
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards.
Typical Physical Demands
  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Perform repetitive hand movements and fine motor tasks.
  • Wear required PPE throughout production activities.
Summary
Essential Functions
  • Package flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, vape cartridges, disposable vaporizers, edibles, tinctures, topicals, and bulk wholesale products according to approved batch records and SOPs.
  • Verify product identity, batch, lot number, METRC package ID, labels, and packaging components before beginning each run.
  • Accurately weigh, fill, seal, cap, label, and inspect products while meeting production standards.
  • Perform in-process quality inspections including weight verification, seal integrity, child-resistant packaging verification, and label accuracy.
  • Complete packaging records, reconciliation forms, sanitation logs, and equipment logs.
  • Maintain chain of custody and immediately report discrepancies or damaged product.
  • Document inventory movement within METRC and internal inventory systems as assigned.
  • Clean and sanitize packaging equipment and workstations following approved SOPs.
  • Support inventory counts, recalls, product quarantines, investigations, and regulatory inspections.
  • Follow all PPE, health and safety, fire safety, sanitation, and security requirements.
  • Cross-train on multiple packaging lines and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
