Job summary

Danone North America in Dallas is hiring for a manufacturing associate. You will lubricate, clean and inspect equipment, operate a forklift and manage SAP pallet tickets while supporting packaging and blending lines.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and at least 12 months of relevant experience. You must read and follow safety rules, benefit from a strong benefits package, and be able to lift up to 55 pounds. Shift differential applies.

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) months or more of relevant experience required.
• Must be able to read and write, interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practice).
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to comprehend and follow simple instructions.
• Ability to present information effectively in small group settings.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret charts/graphs.
• Strong decision-making to determine best course of action.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 55 pounds repetitively.

Responsibilities

• Lubing, cleaning and inspecting equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot to maximize efficiency without compromising quality or increasing waste.
• Operate forklift and support Packaging, Filler Room and Blending Room with materials.
• Stock equipment with packaging materials.
• Use SAP to print and apply pallet tickets; perform SAP flavor changes for palletizer functions.
• Maintain required records per regulations.
• Flexibility to work weekends, shifts and overtime.
• Follow specifications, policies and procedures to ensure uniformity.
• Communicate with other shifts about ongoing activities.
• Coordinate with maintenance to resolve higher-level mechanical issues and minimize downtime.

About You

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine lubing, cleaning and inspection of equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems to obtain maximum efficiency without sacrificing product quality and minimize waste.
• Operate forklift and supply Packaging, Filler Room and the Blending Room with necessary materials.
• Stock equipment with packaging materials.
• Operate SAP to print and apply pallet tickets, ability to perform flavor changes in SAP for palletizer functions.
• Maintain written records as required by federal and state regulations.
• Flexibility to work weekends, shifts, and overtime.
• Ability to follow specifications, policies and procedures to guarantee uniformity.
• Communicate with other shifts regarding current activities in process.
• Communicate with both upstream and downstream associates to maintain supply of product.
• Troubleshoot and correct minor issues with the case packing and palletizer equipment.
• Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe working environment.
• Participates/assists with equipment maintenance.
• Identify higher level mechanical issues and coordinate with Maintenance to resolve problems to minimize downtime.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED REQUIRED
• Twelve (12) months or more of relevant experience required.
• Must be able to read and write, interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Process (GMP's)
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to comprehend and follow simple instructions.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Possess the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to demonstrate superb decision-making ability to determine best course of action.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 55 pounds repetitively.
