Job summary

Michigan Sugar Company is seeking a P&W Maintenance Technician for the Bay City Factory in Bay City, MI. The role focuses on both mechanical and electrical certified skills in a SQF food production environment, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities include maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, supporting production flow, and performing planned and unplanned maintenance. A Michigan journeyman/master license and 3–5 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Current State of Michigan Electrical Journeyman or Masters License.
• Minimum of 3-5 years industrial electrical experience.
• Industrial experience including motor control, relay logic, PLC logic, and computer-based motor and process control system.
• Certification of mechanical training and 3-5 years of experience.
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED.

• Keep electrical systems running to prevent minimum downtime in process.
• Maintain existing electrical systems and upgrading or adding new electrical systems.
• Work in cooperation with mechanics or individually on mechanical issues.

Michigan Sugar Company has an immediate full-time opportunity for a P&W Maintenance Technician, located at the Bay City Factory, 2600 S. Euclid Ave., Bay City, MI 48706.

Job Summary:
Maintenance Technician provide both mechanical and electrical certified skills. Employee and customer safety will always be a primary function while performing a wide variety of tasks in an (SQF) safe quality food production environment. This requires skills as a leader and team player participating in installation, repairs, production flow, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

Required Prerequisites:
Work history includes the ability to/have:

• Current State of Michigan Electrical Journeyman or Masters License
• Minimum of 3-5 years industrial electrical experience
• Industrial experience, including knowledge in motor control, relay logic, PLC logic, and computer based motor and process control system.
• Certification of mechanical training and 3-5 years of experience
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in hot and cold environments

Primary Responsibilities:
