Job summary

Lactalis USA in Brattleboro, VT is seeking a Packager to join our dairy packaging team. You will move yogurt products from the filler line to the prep area, ensuring quality and timely shipments.

This is a temporary 6a–6p shift on a rotating schedule. Training is provided; we will train you if you don't have pallet jack experience. Daily wage $18.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Maintain food safety and quality by completing job tasks and keeping the work area sanitary.
• Must wear food safety/sanitation clothing.
• Conformance to personal hygiene regulations.
• Report food safety problems to personnel with the authority to initiate action.
• Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.

Responsibilities

Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Packager based in Brattleboro, VT. We're looking for a reliable and meticulous Packager to join our team. In this role, you'll ensure the quality and accuracy of our food products by moving them from the filler line to the prep area for distribution. You'll work as part of a collaborative team, and your ability to multitask and prepare shipments properly will be key to your success. Your responsibilities will include:

• Picking, sorting, and placing materials
• Preparing shipments
• Moving products using manual or motorized equipment

This is a temporary position

• 6a- 6p Rotating Shift (2 on, 3 off)
• Hourly Wage: $18.50

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key Responsibilities For This Position Include

• Work on the assigned line to assist with the packaging of yogurt containers by way of machine and/or hand packing.
• Uphold quality, safety, and cleanliness standards within designated areas.
• Communicate with other team members to ensure efficient plant operations.
• Set up the oncoming shift for a successful run.
• Perform any duties necessary to support the team.
• Obtain information necessary to perform duties at pre-shift tailgate meetings and by meeting with outgoing employees.
• Vigilantly monitor equipment operation for indications of impending problems and possible operational improvements.
• Trained to operate a pallet jack. "We will train you if you don't have experience operating pallet jacks".
