Job summary

Steel Technologies LLC is seeking a packager to prepare processed material for storage or shipment. You will follow customer specs, stack, band, wrap, and edge-protect materials, and operate packaging equipment efficiently.

Position requires lifting up to 75 pounds, basic forklift/ crane tasks, and coordination with material handlers. We offer comprehensive benefits after 60 days and paid time off after 90 days.

In accordance with customer specifications, the Packager prepares processed material for storage
or shipment.

How you’ll contribute to our company:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Package material to meet customer specifications per customer supplied information and
standard packaging instructions. Includes stacking, applying protective sheets, banding,
wrapping and applying edge protector
2. Operate turnstile, down layer and banding line equipment as needed
3. Prepare skids to customer specifications
4. Coordinate with material handlers, forklift and crane operators
5. Clean and maintain housekeeping of packaging area
6. Operate forklift and/or crane to transport materials to and from storage areas, work
stations, and within other areas of assignment
