Job summary

Smith+ Nephew, Inc. in Memphis, TN is hiring a Packager to produce high-quality inventory in the clean room.

You will work on 3rd shift (9:00 PM - 5:30 AM), collaborating with materials and receiving to ensure components are available for production and pre-sterile inventory is prepared for shipping and demos. Responsibilities include maintaining a secure, organized area, proper paperwork, operating production equipment safely, and following quality/compliance policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a clean room setting with medical devices is preferred.
• Capable of working independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to stand and lift repetitively throughout the shift.
• Ability to use instruments or equipment safely.
• Able to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Produce all products in assigned area.
• Maintain a secure and organized area.
• Ensure that no materials, labels, and any other designated items leave assigned work area without proper paperwork.
• Maintain and operate production equipment safely and within guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and neat work area.
• Complete and understand documentation needed to comply with Smith and Nephew quality and compliance policies and procedures.
• Work in team environment using the skills of communicating, listening and participating in developing continuous improvement on products and processes.
• Safety, cleanliness of equipment and company product.

The Packager is responsible to product high-quality levels of inventory in the clean room determined by product demand planning. The employee must work closely with other operators, materials, and receiving to ensure that components are available for production. Employee will work to build and package pre-sterile inventory (which will be used shipped to the sterilizer and also for demo inventory. Employee will ensure that compliance and quality will be present and used in all company processes.

What will you be doing?

Perform materials duties, including but not limited to:

• Produce all products in assigned area.
• Maintain a secure and organized area.
• Ensure that no materials, labels, and any other designated items leave assigned work area without proper paperwork.
• Maintain and operate production equipment safely and within guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and neat work area.
