Job summary

Trinidad Benham is seeking a Packaging Operator to join our Packaging Operations team in Sterling, CO. This full-time on-site position involves reading production schedules, moving packaging materials, and operating packaging equipment to meet daily production goals.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and basic computer skills, with responsibilities including quality checks, documentation, and adherence to GMP/SQF standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Clear communication with coworkers and management.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand daily production schedules and material requirements.
• Transport needed packaging materials to the production area.
• Set-up and operation of packaging equipment with correct materials and products based on order specifications.
• Meet daily production requirements.
• Perform periodic quality control checks to ensure product meets customer requirements (end and back seals, date codes).
• Change product varieties following guidelines; adjust and check product flow and magnets for foreign materials; document as required.
• Complete and maintain documentation on product, materials, output, and machine downtime.
• Troubleshoot minor packaging problems and adjust equipment accordingly.
• Communicate with management and maintenance to facilitate repairs.
• Comply with safety policies and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Follow GMP and SQF procedures and document required SQF forms.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Packaging Supervisor or Lead.
