We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Packaging Engineer to join our Packaging Engineering team. This role provides technical expertise and serves as an independent contributor on cross-functional teams responsible for the design, development, validation, and implementation of packaging components, systems, processes, and equipment supporting medical device products. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands‑on experience in packaging development, package testing, process validation, manufacturing support, and regulatory compliance while working alongside experienced Packaging Engineering professionals.
Minimum Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent University degree required; focused degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Engineering or related field preferred. Advanced degree preferred.
Relevant professional work experience Engineering experience, including internships, co‑op assignments, or entry‑level engineering roles. Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross‑functional teams. Fluency in English.
Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or another regulated industry. Familiarity with: ASTM and ISTA package testing standards, ISO 11607-1 and ISO 11607-2, ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820 Good Documentation Practices (GDP) Knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and packaging equipment. Experience supporting verification, validation, and continuous improvement activities.
May require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel to other sites and locations
