Job summary

Vista Community Clinic is seeking a dedicated individual to support physicians and nurses by assisting with medical examinations, taking vitals, and providing translation services. You will help elderly patients with daily living activities in a collaborative and respectful environment.

A high school diploma is required along with CPR certification. Preference is given to candidates with experience in elderly care and bilingual skills in English/Armenian. The position offers a pay range of $23.00 - $26.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • CPR Certification (including BLS Child, Infant, Adult) required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience with frail or elderly population preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Armenian preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support physicians and nurses by taking vitals and assisting in examinations.
  • Assist participants with daily living activities.
  • Maintain clean and orderly care areas.
  • Document changes in participants' health.

Responsibilities
Job Summary

Support physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and/or nurses by taking vitals, assisting in medical examinations and other specific procedures and providing translation services.

Essential Job Functions
  • Assists participants and supervises with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, mouth care, eating, hand and foot nail care and toileting) as assigned or needed.
  • Creates and participates in group(s) and one-on-one activities in accordance with daily activity calendar and as requested by the Recreational Coordinator.
  • Monitor and assist participants with meals at feeding table.
  • Assist throughout the day in maintaining clean and orderly day rooms, kitchen and personal care areas.
  • Accompanies enrollee to medical and other appointments.
  • Perform and assist with laundry, including clothes for participants.
  • Assists the drivers with the loading and unloading of participants from vehicles.
  • Demonstrates dependability through consistent compliance with scheduled work hours.
  • Participates in the activities of the interdisciplinary team as needed and carries out the plan of care as directed.
  • Note changes in participant's physical or emotional health and communicate this information to the appropriate staff person.
  • Maintains participants' medical record and fulfills VCC's PACE charting and reporting requirements.
  • Assists the transportation department with participants' take-home supplies.
  • Participates in and support Quality Improvement initiatives.
  • Follows all VCC's PACE Policies and Procedures and OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all company procedures, results, and information about participants, clients or families.
  • Practices standard precautions and follows appropriate Infection Control procedures.
  • Maintains safe working environment. Follows VCC's PACE Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as directed
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively with cultural, economically, and educationally, diverse populations.
Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
  • Experience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records systems, NextGen preferred
Pay Range
  • $23.00 - $26.00 Depending on Experience
