Job summary
The Illinois Association of School Administrators seeks an experienced PAC Assistant Technical Director to oversee lighting and live sound for district productions and events. You will operate lighting consoles, maintain fixtures, and manage sound systems for performances at the Performing Arts Center and Black Box Theater.
The role requires collaboration with the Technical Director, supervising student crews, and coordinating with the scene shop.
Qualifications
- Experience with theatre, dance, and music productions.
- Basic CAD/Vector design skills.
- Proficient with ETC Eos lighting consoles.
- DMX troubleshooting ability.
- Live sound reinforcement knowledge.
- Video production familiarity.
- Theatrical rigging knowledge.
- Self-directed work style.
- Minimum three years in technical production.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain lighting and live sound systems for PAC and Centennial Black Box Theater.
- Program lighting consoles and manage automated lighting fixtures.
- Oversee setup, operation, and striking of productions and events.
- Supervise student crews and assist with scene shop builds.
- Manage inventory and support evening/weekend events.
