Job summary

South University is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to provide instruction and course oversight for the Physician Assistant Program. This temporary role focuses on direct teaching and ensuring course outcomes are met, in collaboration with program leadership.

Instruction occurs in a clinically integrated learning environment with emphasis on student engagement and outcomes. The candidate will deliver content and foster learning, using an evidence-based approach while aligning with university

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in healthcare disciplines (e.g., PA, pharmacy, MD, or public health) with a Master’s degree.
• Eligibility for professional licensure/certification in the applicable state or holds active licensure.
• 1–2 years teaching experience in a graduate health-related profession preferred.
• 2 years of clinical experience required, if applicable.
• PA/medical classroom teaching preferred; NCCPA certification required for PAs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality teaching in the assigned course(s).
• Manage the educational process to engage every student.
• Deliver clinically relevant, systems-based instruction aligned with program outcomes.
• Design and deliver instruction with instructional plans to meet course outcomes.
• Utilize technology effectively in classroom and online settings.
• Provide timely feedback and remedial support to foster mastery.
• Prepare, administer, and grade exams and assessments for the course(s).
• Relate professional/clinical experience to instruction and stay aligned with program goals.
