Overview

ThePhysician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)will work under the general supervision of their MedicalDirectorall physician partners and their APP Manager in WakeMed Physician Practices to deliver competent medical care to patients at WakeMed.This position can consist of both inpatient and outpatient care depending on the needs of the service and is outlined in the clinical job expectations.This may include completion ofreferrals,consults,daily patientrounds,dailynotes,dischargesummaries,procedures,clinic notes,pre and post procedurecare,prescribing,and patient care follow-ups. Will work closely with other healthcare providers in a collaborative multidisciplinary approach to maximize the care we provide to our patients. As a healthcareprofessionalwill function as an educator forPA/NP/CNM students from healthcare education programs. Within this position thePA/NPwillmaintainthe scopeofpracticetobeconsistentwiththepolicies,procedures,andregulatoryguidelinesgovernedbytheNorthCarolinaMedicalBoardorNorthCarolinaBoardofNursingandanyotherfederalorstate regulatory agencies as well as thepoliciesandproceduresofWakeMed.AdditionalcertificationssuchasAdvancedLifeSupportmayberequiredbasedonclinicalareaofpracticeoutlinedintheclinicaljobexpectationsandreviewedannuallyduringtheannualreviewprocess.ThePA/NPunderstandstheneedsoftheorganizationand
