Job summary

MGH Institute of Health Professions seeks a qualified, full-time PA education faculty member to join the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and the Department of PA Studies. The appointment level is flexible based on education, experience, and record of accomplishment, with opportunities for leadership in the PA program.

The faculty member will teach, advise students, and participate in program development, evaluation, and scholarly activity while exemplifying interprofessional

Qualifications

• Earned terminal degree in PA or related health field.
• Minimum 2 years in PA/medical education; 5 years preferred.
• Massachusetts license or eligibility.
• NCCPA certification for PAs or medical board certification for physicians.
• Minimum 4 years of clinical practice.
• Established record of service and scholarship in health professions.
• Doctorate preferred but not required.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Teach in PA program and provide student advisement.
• Participate in program development, assessment and evaluation.
• Contribute to admissions processes and curriculum design.
• Engage in scholarly activity and interprofessional collaboration.
• Model integrity, reflection, and ethical behavior for learners.
• Provide mentorship and service within the Institute and hospital affiliates.
