Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Primavera P6 EPPM Administrator to manage installation, configuration, security, backups, and performance tuning for the P6 EPPM system. You will bridge P6 users and IT, ensuring data integrity and system availability for project managers and schedulers.

The role requires extensive experience with P6 EPPM, Oracle Database (SQL, tuning, backup/recovery), and scripting (SQL/PL-SQL/Shell).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 7+ years of experience managing P6 Primavera applications and scheduling support in nuclear, engineering, manufacturing or construction industries.
• 5+ years of Primavera P6 EPPM knowledge plus Oracle DB skills (SQL, tuning, backup/recovery) and automation scripting (SQL, PL/SQL, Shell).
• Familiarity with Earned Value / Schedule Risk tools like Deltek Cobra or Safran (as experienced users).
• OCP or Oracle certifications are desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Primavera P6 EPPM and related components (Web Access, BI Publisher).
• Configure global and project-specific settings including calendars, EPS/WBS structures, activity codes, and UDFs.

A Primavera P6 EPPM Administrator role involves managing the Oracle P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) system, focusing on installation, configuration, security, backups, performance tuning, and user support. You will be the bridge between P6 application users and core IT, ensuring data integrity and system availability for project managers / schedulers.

This role will include system health monitoring, tuning for speed, managing access rights, disaster recovery, and assisting users, having a Oracle/SQL knowledge.

Responsibilities:

System Administration & Configuration: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Primavera P6 EPPM and associated components (Web Access, Integration APIs, BI Publisher. Configure global and project-specific settings including calendars, EPS/WBS structures, activity codes, and UDFs.

Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance, improve configurations, and tune for speed.

Security & Access: Manage user access, set permissions, and implement security policies.

Backup & Recovery: Develop backup/restore plans, ensuring data recovery.

User Support: Act as the first point of contact for P6 users, providing training, mentoring schedulers, project managers and planner, and troubleshooting. Promote best practices in schedule management and system usage.

Documentation:Maintain standards, procedures, and system configurations.

Collaboration: Work with IT, developers, and Primavera support for seamless operations. Collaborate with Oracle support for escalated issues and patch management.

Data Management & Integration:Ensure data integrity across projects and portfolios. Develop integrations with other enterprise systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Management , or related field

7+ Years relevant experience managing P6 Primavera applications and project management scheduling support in the nuclear, engineering, manufacturing or construction industry.

At least 5+ years' of demonstrated experience in Primavera P6 EPPM knowledge (schema, background jobs, administration guides) plus experience in Oracle Database skills (SQL, tuning, backup/recovery, security). Proficiency in scripting (SQL, PL/SQL, Shell) for automation and understanding of P6's complex enterprise structure for project management support.

Familiarity with other scheduling tools related to Earned Value Management or Schedule Risk Analysis like Deltek Cobra or Safran as experienced users (not necessarily administrator).

We desire Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or relevant Oracle Database/Cloud certifications or equivalent, although we do not require them.

P6 EPPM Specifics: Experience with the P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) schema, managing P6 databases, understanding background jobs, and general P6 administration tasks.

Oracle Database Expertise:Deep understanding of Oracle RDBMS, including installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, and backup/recovery.

SQL & PL/SQL: Advanced SQL scripting for complex queries, reports, and PL/SQL for automation; strong scripting (e.g. Shell, Python) for efficiency.

Performance Tuning: Ability to tune the P6 database (EPPM/PPM) for optimal performance, especially during cleanup and resource-intensive tasks.

Security: Implementing security, managing user access, and ensuring data integrity within the P6 environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Poland:
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 13,916 to 17,350 PLN gross per month.

In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.

US:
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200- to$129,000 per year.
