Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC invites applicants for a Physical Education Teacher position at Montgomery Preparatory Academy in Dayton, Ohio. The role supports EK-8 students in a public charter setting, emphasizing a well-rounded program and SEL.

You will prepare and deliver lessons, differentiate instruction, maintain records, collaborate with families, and integrate technology while contributing to a positive learning environment. A state license and a bachelor’s degree are required.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Thrives in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and feedback.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information.
• Experience supervising students in various school settings (playground, cafeteria, etc.).
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience working in urban environments.

About the Opportunity:

About You:

• Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
• High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to properly manage confidential information
• Able to supervise students of various ages in different school settings (playground, cafeteria, etc.)
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
• Experience working within an urban environment

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $43,500 - 53,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
