Group-CBS seeks a Senior Engineer to lead technical reviews and drive quality in protection and control projects. You will establish standards, mentor engineers, and guide complex power systems work from design through commissioning.

Responsible for the technical accuracy and quality of all project deliverables, engineering standards, technical procedures, and engineering methodologies. This role serves as the P&C division’s technical authority, providing final technical review and approval of deliverables, establishing engineering standards and best practices, mentoring and training engineers, and driving continuous improvement across all P&C service offerings.

Performance is measured by the accuracy, quality, consistency, and timeliness of project deliverables, the effectiveness of engineering standards and review processes, the technical development of team members, and the achievement of departmental goals established by management. In additional performing technical reviews, this role is expected to provide technical leadership, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
This position has no direct reports. However, the Supervising Engineer provides technical leadership and oversight to engineers and technical personnel through dotted-line relationships, including responsibility for technical review, mentoring, engineering standards, and approval of project deliverables of the P&C division.
· Proven experience performing technical reviews and quality oversight of power systems engineering, testing, commissioning, or system integration projects.
· Experience developing and implementing engineering review processes, technical standards, and best practices.
· 10+ years of system integration, protection and control, NERC compliance or related power systems engineering experience preferred.
· Hands-on experience with the installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of protective relaying schemes and communications systems is a plus.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, single-line, three-line drawings, wiring diagrams, and other related electrical drawings is required is required.
· Working knowledge of low-, medium-, and high-voltage power systems is required.
· Familiarity with field testing practices and electrical test equipment for power systems including megger, hi-pot, WRM, TTR, power factor test set, high current breaker test sets, relay test sets, etc.
· Proficient in LOTO and Job Hazard Analysis practices.
· Knowledge of NETA ATS/MTS, NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and other applicable industry standards related to electrical power systems applications and protection.
· Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, protection and control systems, and system integration principles.
· Ability to independently review engineering deliverables for technical accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with applicable standards.
· Ability to develop, implement, and maintain engineering standards, technical procedures, calculation methodologies, and best practices.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues and provide practical guidance to project teams.
· Ability to mentor, coach, and develop engineers and technical personnel through technical review, training, and knowledge-sharing activities.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
· Strong organizational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple technical reviews, engineering initiatives, deadlines, and competing priorities simultaneously.

High school or equivalent GED certification is required. Post-secondary technical education or equivalent experience in electrical power systems, protection and control, system integration, field service, or related disciplines required. BSEE is preferred but not required.
NETA Level IV Certification or Professional Engineer (PE) registration is preferred. Industry certifications or training related to protection and control systems, system integration, SCADA, and relay systems are also valued.

· Introductory -- Will be written at approximately 90 days after employment and will be used to determine whether employee has sufficiently met and performed the job requirements, and will indicate whether employment will continue
· Annual Reviews – Employee will be given a formal regular annual review, which assesses productivity and demonstrated business skills and accomplishments for the previous period.
Typical hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. Hours will be dictated by the customer and when working in the field may be earlier or later than typical, including occasional weekends and holidays.The employee is expected to be online and working during normal business hours unless field work is scheduled.
