Job summary

CAVA is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner for field operations. This role acts as a strategic advisor to field leaders, focused on employee experience, culture, leadership capability, and people-focused programs.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication skills, experience in a fast‑paced, multi‑unit environment, and a willingness to travel up to 50%. You will collaborate across P&C functions and partner with talent, development, and leadership teams to drive business

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of progressive P&C (Human Resources) experience required.
  • Multi‑unit retail, restaurant, or hospitality experience required.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Experience supporting field‑based leaders in a high‑growth, fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success in building trust and influencing at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to field leadership by advising on people-related strategies that drive performance and engagement.
  • Build and sustain a positive employee relations culture rooted in transparency, respect, and trust.
  • Act as a culture steward and change leader, helping drive key initiatives that align with CAVA’s values and business goals.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development and other P&C functions to execute and scale enterprise-wide programs.
  • Support and advise on workforce planning, organizational design, and succession planning efforts to build a strong leadership bench.
  • Work closely with talent acquisition to ensure effective and efficient hiring strategies aligned with regional staffing needs.
  • Guide and support managers in addressing performance, conduct, and development conversations to build high-performing teams.
  • Analyze trends and metrics to develop proactive solutions that improve retention, employee satisfaction, and team effectiveness.
  • Ensure consistent application of P&C policies, procedures, and compliance standards across assigned regions.
  • Lead and contribute to key P&C projects with strong project management discipline and stakeholder alignment.
  • Provide timely, thoughtful consultation on employee relations, engagement, and change management topics.
  • Partner cross-functionally to identify people-focused solutions that drive long-term business impact.

People and Culture Business Partner, Field

The People & Culture Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to Field Leaders, playing a critical role in supporting CAVA’s mission. With a deep understanding of field operations and a passion for people, the P&C BP helps drive business performance by maximizing our most valuable asset—our team members. Acting as an advocate, coach, and change agent, this role focuses on enhancing the employee experience, cultivating a culture of inclusion, and strengthening leadership capability across the field. The ideal candidate combines strong people expertise with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and lead through partnership.

What You’ll Do

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, or SHRM‑SCP certification preferred
  • Bi‑lingual (Spanish) a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
  • For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
  • Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
