Job summary

Standard Calibrations, Inc. is seeking an Oxygen Instrument Technician to inspect, test, maintain, and certify life-critical oxygen and breathing air systems used in aviation, space, and industrial environments.

You will ensure equipment safety and proper documentation before return to service. Training begins on first shift (7:00am-4:00pm) and will transition to second shift; the role requires strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards and the ability to work in controlled

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with pressurized systems, valves, regulators, or similar equipment.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals, drawings, and procedures.
• Basic proficiency with hand tools, measuring devices, and test equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to document work and maintain traceable records.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, test, and maintain oxygen and breathing air equipment and components.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment using approved procedures and hand tools.
• Replace consumables such as O-rings, seals, adapters, and fittings.
• Perform pressure, leak, and functional tests to verify safety and integrity.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, verify operation after repair.
• Maintain complete records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and certifications.
