Job description

We are looking for an experienced and self‑motivated electrician to join our Chemical Manufacturing Facility in Geismar, Louisiana.

Essential Job Duties

• Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and transport our products, as our highest priority.
• Provide attention to detail and dedication to work in order to ensure reliability of the work site as well as high quality product.
• Perform calibration, repair, and integrity checks of plant electrical equipment to assure accuracy, functionality, and reliability within acceptable limits.
• Develop and implement a preventive and predictive maintenance schedule for plant electrical equipment and instrumentation to assure high on-stream time.
• Provide technical assistance to production and engineering groups on the application and modification of electrical equipment and instrumentation.
• Maintain, update, requisition, document, and report I & E department records and resources to assure availability and dependability of test equipment, tools, spare parts, outside repairs, specifications, equipment history, vendor resources, and library resources.
• Continuously improve by staying informed and educated on current safety, technical, and quality practices.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Electrical NCCER qualification.
• Minimum of five years of experience in maintenance of electrical systems.
• Ability to effectively function and excel in a team environment as well as work independently with minimum supervision.
• High safety and environmental awareness.
• Must be able to properly and safely wear all required PPE such as safety glasses, hard hat, steel‑toed shoes, and respirators.

Additional Desired Qualifications

• Associate or equivalent degree from a vocational or technical institute preferred.
