Job summary

Centerra Gold in Langeloth, PA is seeking a Pure Oxide Operator to oversee production and refining of oxide and to perform quality checks ensuring specifications are met. You will monitor equipment, record process data, and maintain safety and environmental standards.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and mechanical aptitude, with experience in processing plants preferred. We offer an attractive hourly rate plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and maintain equipment.
• Ability to work in a potentially hazardous environment.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a processing plant is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control various machinery and equipment used for production such as fork trucks and tuggers.
• Continuously monitor and records various operating parameters to ensure the process is running smoothly and efficiently.
• Detect and troubleshoot operational issues that may arise.
• Weigh and process hearth tailings and pack product in a variety of containers.
• Make adjustments to the primary fan, transformers, furnace feed, and pugmill to maintain quality.
• Blow down spiders, when necessary.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, guidelines, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Report safety hazards promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, process parameters, and quality control measures.
• Follow environmental regulations and protocols to minimize the impact on the environment; This includes following proper procedures for disposal of waste materials.
• Unload materials and parts from transportation vessels using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
• Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance with established procedure and specifications.
• Stays up to date on industry best practices and refresher trainings throughout the year of all SOP's and JSA's
• Other duties as assigned.
