Job summary

Kizer Energy Inc. is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to support PowerCo on a 400 MW power generation facility in Texas. You will lead commissioning activities, oversee the Commissioning Contractor, and ensure safe, timely transition from construction through startup and handover.

The role demands strong leadership, risk management, and coordination with engineering, operations, vendors, and project teams to meet schedule, quality, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of commissioning experience in energy/power facilities.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership in commissioning management or operations.
• Experience overseeing commissioning through construction, startup, and handover.
• Ability to manage commissioning contractors and complex stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of power generation systems and safety handover processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the owner's representative for all commissioning activities and oversee the Commissioning Contractor.
• Review and monitor the CEP, system-by-system procedures, and master schedule.
• Define system boundaries, turnover packages, and systemization requirements.
• Verify MC criteria and oversee MC certification and handover.
• Provide oversight of ITPs, quality verification, and readiness from MC through RFSU.
• Ensure safety and compliance with energization, LOTO, and permit-to-work procedures.
• Coordinate with Operations for safe handover and startup planning.
• Manage interfaces between construction, commissioning, startup, and performance testing teams.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and drive issue resolution for startup and milestones.
• Lead readiness reviews and ensure systems meet quality, safety, and performance before turnover.
