Job summary

Norbet Trucking is hiring an experienced CDL-A Owner Operator in South Plainfield, New Jersey. You'll be responsible for driving your own tractor-trailer, ensuring the safe transport of various materials to local customers. This role includes performing vehicle inspections, maintaining logs, and working closely with dispatch. The position offers 75% owner-operator pay, a 100% fuel surcharge, and liability and truck insurance. A minimum of three years operating flatbed with a clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years operating flatbed.
• Driving record free of major incidents for at least three years.
• Experience hauling steel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Properly load and secure freight for transport.
• Assist in loading and unloading as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Perform vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Work with dispatch for delivery assignments.
• Read bill of lading for assignment details.
• Report incidents and accidents timely.
• If necessary, report all incidents and accidents accurately and timely within the scope of the company and DOT required processes.

Hiring an experienced CDL-A Owner Operator—steady loads, competitive rates, and a company you can rely on.

Responsible for driving your own tractor-trailer in compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures for transporting various materials in a safe and timely manner to regional or local customers.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for proper loading and securing freight to prevent movement and allow safe transport.
• Assist in loading and unloading as required.
• Layover is possible for 1 or 2 nights during the week. No Weekends.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Perform vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance before, during and after trips.
• Work with dispatch for delivery assignments and road service throughout the day.
• Read bill of lading to determine assignment schedule.
• If necessary, report all incidents and accidents accurately and timely within the scope of the company and DOT required processes.

Experience

• Experience hauling steel a plus.
• Minimum three years operating flatbed.
• Driving record must be three years traffic accident and violation free.
