Job summary

Clark Transfer is the partner behind Broadway national tours and live entertainment across North America. You are paid by the day rather than by the mile, with a guaranteed weekly minimum for solo and team drivers.

Tour base pay plus fuel surcharge, plus detention pay and miles paid for loaded, empty, and bobtail runs. Company covers insurance and taxes; nationwide routing with year-round, no-touch entertainment freight.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL is required.
• Must be 23 years of age or older.
• 2+ years OTR experience, including 6 months in the past 12.
• 2021 or newer tractor.
• Willing to run nationwide and obtain a passport if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate as 100% owner operator fleet for nationwide tours.
• Load in, run, and load out at venues; year-round, no-touch freight for entertainment tours.

Guaranteed weekly minimum: $3,500 solo / $5,000 team, every week worked.

Clark Transfer has been the transportation partner behind Broadway national tours, concerts, and live entertainment across North America for more than 75 years. This isn't general freight and it isn't paid like general freight.

You're paid by the day, not only by the mile

Touring productions load in, run, and load out. That means real days parked at a venue. On a straight per-mile model those days pay nothing. Here they pay:

• Tour base pay, plus fuel surcharge
• Detention pay: $250/day solo, $275/day team
• Paid loaded, empty, bobtail, and detention miles
• Fuel surcharge on all eligible miles

Most of our solo operators run under 85,000 miles a year. On a traditional OTR pay structure fewer miles would mean less money. With day-rate pay, it means less wear on your truck for the same revenue.
