Job summary

R.A.S. Logistics in Smithtown, NY seeks reliable Independent Contractors who own or lease a cargo van (minimum 10 ft) to handle pickups and deliveries of bulky construction materials.

Must be 18+, have a valid driver's license, pass a background check, and demonstrate safe delivery experience with cargo vans. You will load, secure, and transport materials while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must own or lease a Cargo Van (minimum 10 ft).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Proven delivery driving experience with an emphasis on safety.
• Experience operating cargo vans.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items; must be comfortable with the physical demands of the role.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate your cargo van to complete scheduled pickups and deliveries.
• Load, secure, and unload materials - primarily construction materials.
• Ensure items are handled and transported with care.
• Deliver excellent customer service to clients and recipients.
• Maintain accurate delivery records via mobile apps or paper logs.
• Follow all safety and transportation guidelines.
