Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using sit-down/stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, RF scanners, and pallet jacks. The role requires safe operation of multiple forklift types and adherence to OSHA standards within a climate-controlled facility.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and up to three months of related experience, with a proven ability to work overtime or weekends when needed and to maintain

Qualifications

• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to operate multiple forklift types safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently load and unload freight using appropriate equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation.
• Operate forklifts and RF scanners per OSHA standards to maintain a safe work environment.
• Meet production standards while keeping a clean and orderly workspace.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes as needed.
