Job summary

The National Strategic Research Institute (NSRI) seeks a RF Field Scientist to support overseas technical deployments for DoW and USG sponsors. You will operate as part of a two-person field team responsible for deployment, installation, operation, maintenance, and recovery of specialized sensing systems at designated overseas locations.

The role involves continuous rotational deployments: 60 days overseas followed by 30 days at home, with assignments across Indo-Pacific, Europe, Africa, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field; equivalent military technical experience considered.
• Experience with RF/Electrical engineering projects and sensor systems.
• Experience installing, operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electronic or mechanical systems.
• Experience with non-ionizing radiation technologies or RF sensing systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and system documentation; strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally for extended overseas deployments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy as part of a two-person overseas field team.
• Serve as technical authority for installation, operation, and maintenance of sensing systems.
• Perform field calibration, testing, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.
• Verify system performance and conduct acceptance testing after deployment.
• Document data, maintain logs, and ensure configuration management.
• Coordinate with Field Team Lead on readiness, risk, and repair needs.
• Develop procedures, checklists, and deployment documentation as needed.
