Job summary

72O IAP World Services, Inc. is seeking an Air Traffic Control Specialist responsible for controlling air traffic in U.S. Naval airspace. This role requires knowledge of air traffic control techniques, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage emergencies effectively.

Candidates should have at least three years of experience in air traffic services and must possess relevant certifications including a Control Tower Certificate. U.S. Citizenship and security clearance are also necessary for this position, as assignments may be overseas.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in air traffic services required.
• FAA Class II Medical clearance necessary.
• Control Tower Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Control air traffic to prevent collisions.
• Issue clearance to aircraft on movement areas.
• Advise arriving aircraft of weather and airfield conditions.
• Assist in filing flight plans and processes.

Skills

Knowledge of air traffic control rules

Excellent communication skills

Proficient with Microsoft programs

Effectively utilize two-way radio communications

Ability to assist aircraft during inclement weather

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

ACA1 or equivalent DoD / DOT air traffic controller course
