Job Description

We are looking for a Wire Cutter to join our Rexel, USA team in Mansfield, MA!

Shift: 11 PM - 7:30 AM

Summary: The Wire Cutter is responsible for efficiently and accurately fulfilling orders for wire and cable cuts utilizing material handling equipment and wire reeling / coiling machinery. The role ensures wire/cable is stored, staged, and cut in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity. May be required to fill in for other warehouse roles.

What You'll Do:

• Contribute to a culture focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment. Follow established Standard Operating Procedures, Environmental Health and Safety Rules, and immediately address safety concerns.
• Perform daily machine checks and operate material handling equipment and powered material handling equipment safely and efficiently, meeting company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity.
• Retrieve and cut wire efficiently and accurately for requested customer shipments, examining wire for conformance to specifications and removing defective pieces.
• Fill all orders efficiently and accurately. Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
• Place reel of specified wire onto payout spindle of machine and thread wire through feed rolls. Adjust machine controls to regulate factors such as wire thickness, pressure, heat, and cutting and stripping length.
• Stack/store merchandise in the appropriate area and stage wire cuts in the appropriate shipping area.
• Maintain a minimum standard in wire cuts in compliance with current company policies in both accuracy and productivity.
• Report any damage to electronic hardware, work machines, or pipe racks immediately to a supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You'll Need:

• 1+ years of wire cutting experience preferred.
• Prior warehouse or distribution center experience a plus.
• Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment preferred. If required to make deliveries:
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of their Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
• Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years.
• Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• High School or GED - Preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of Radio Frequency scanning devices preferred.
• Must be willing to be trained on all the following material handling equipment: forklift, stand‑up reach truck, High‑Reach Narrow‑Aisle, Stand‑Up Rider pallet Jack that conform to OSHA safety training requirements.
• Ability to effectively communicate with co‑workers and customers.
• Ability to handle basic issues and problems.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations to accurately complete job tasks.
• Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Pay Range (Massachusetts Only)

$20.00 to $24.00, depending upon qualifications, experience and other considerations permitted by law.
