Havertys is seeking an energetic Receiving Material Handler for the Distribution Team in Lakeland. The role involves unloading trucks, staging merchandise, and working in teams to ensure smooth transfer to storage or shipping areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform heavy lifting throughout shift, up to 150 lbs.
• Team-oriented with collaboration in small groups.
• Willingness to work an overnight Sunday–Thursday schedule.
• Ability to pass Criminal Background check, Lifting Assessment, and Drug Test.
• Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
• Uniforms and safety gear provided; footwear required.

Responsibilities

• Unload merchandise from delivery trucks and containers in teams of 2–4.
• Stage items on carts for transport to staging areas or storage.
• Contribute as a productive, value‑driving team member.
• Understand productivity standards and time management expectations.
• Handle materials to minimize damage and injury.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment in line with policies.
