Qualifications

• Previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience.
• Knowledge of veterinary medicine and terminology.
• Experience with emergency, surgical, and hospitalized patient care.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to work effectively during overnight hours.
• A commitment to continued learning and sharing knowledge with others.
• The ability to build strong working relationships with teammates, doctors, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Follow digital treatment plans prescribed by the attending veterinarian.
• Provide safe, effective patient handling and low-stress restraint.
• Administer medications, injections, sedation, and nursing care as directed.
• Place intravenous catheters and support emergency and surgical care.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes in patient status.
• Administer and monitor general anesthesia when required and within your training and scope.
• Collect diagnostic samples and perform in-house laboratory diagnostics.
• Process samples using in-hospital laboratory equipment.
• Assist with blood transfusions and advanced nursing procedures.
• Take diagnostic radiographs and maintain digital medical records.
• Sterilize surgical instruments and manage autoclave equipment.
• Support overnight team in patient care and safety.
