American Academy of Neurology seeks a Tele-Neurohospitalist for remote, overnight coverage across multiple partner sites. This locum-tenens or full-time opportunity supports CA or TX licensed physicians with a flexible 9 pm–5 am PT schedule and central backup.

The role emphasizes inpatient tele-neurology, stroke coverage, ED and inpatient consults, and collaboration with onsite teams to maintain continuity of care. A strong team supports you throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• Active state license in CA or TX.
• Board certified or board eligible; stroke coverage experience required.
• At least 2 years of inpatient experience.
• Clean NPDB preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight tele-neurology coverage across 8-10 partner sites per shift.
• Respond to ED admissions and support onsite physicians so they can rest until morning.
• Manage neurologic needs that do not require the on-call neurologist to come in, including stroke alerts.
• Collaborate with onsite physicians, nursing teams, and the on-call neurologist; a central command center provides backup if simultaneous alerts come in at different facilities.
• Support continuity of care.
