Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Stocking Clerk to ensure shelves are stocked with food and groceries and to move stock from pallets to shelves efficiently. You will also handle back-room disposal, assist leadership, and maintain a clean work area while providing friendly customer service.

The role requires teamwork, physical stamina, and comfort with basic technology; overnight shifts are part of the schedule to prepare the store for the day ahead.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Comfortable learning and using basic technology; organized and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
