Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Food Clerk in Marion, Ohio to help keep our Fresh departments inviting and well stocked. You will build positive connections with customers, help them find products, and ensure displays are full, fresh, and visually appealing.

In this fast-paced, active role, you’ll work across departments like Meat, Produce, and Bakery, following safety standards and using store technology to complete tasks accurately. Previous retail experience is helpful but not required.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

What You'll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and wellrun store experience within our Fresh departments.

You'll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays

• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards

• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures

• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
