Job summary

Meijer is looking for a Food Clerk to help create a welcoming store experience in our Fresh departments. You will build connections with customers, share product knowledge, and keep displays fresh and organized, stocking and rotating items while following safety and sanitation standards.

You’ll work across departments such as Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery, using technology to complete tasks efficiently and supporting overall store operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or food service is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to be physically active and lift, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset and good communication.
• Ability to follow processes and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
