Job summary

Meijer in Michigan is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct, and supervise daily operations. You’ll mentor team members, drive sales, maintain store appearance, and ensure courteous, efficient service during peak hours.

Responsibilities include staffing and hiring, succession planning, disciplinary actions, P&L ownership, and training. Strong communication, conflict resolution, task management, and safety focus are essential to meet Meijer standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and address root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make informed decisions.

• Ensure team is trained in all job aspects and completed required training.
• Spend most time in-store communicating with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service.

• Ensures the team is thoroughly trained in all aspects of their jobs and have completed all required training.
• Spends majority of time within the store communicating with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service is being delivered.
• Communicates the Meijer Friendly Initiative in all team meetings and conversations.
• Promotes a safe work environment.
• Reliable and consistent attendance required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.

• Successful completion of all required certifications.
