Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to create a fresh, welcoming store experience in Fresh departments. You will build positive connections with customers, share product knowledge, and help customers locate items. You will stock and rotate displays, ensuring accuracy and food safety.

Ideal candidates bring a friendly, customer-focused attitude, good listening skills, and comfort using store technology. This role supports multiple departments and is based in our Troy, OH location.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

What You'll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You'll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays

• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards

• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures

• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
