Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to join our team. You will help keep shelves stocked, displays fresh, and products organized across departments while providing friendly customer service. This fast-paced role requires physical activity, reliability, and the ability to learn store technology.

Daily tasks include stocking, merchandising, following safety procedures, and collaborating with teammates to maintain a welcoming store experience for our shoppers.

Qualifications

• Retail or food service experience is helpful but not required
• Able to lift, bend, twist and stand for extended periods
• Strong listening and communication skills
• Customer-first mindset and friendly demeanor
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product to keep displays fresh
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Use technology to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Support multiple departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Help keep the store running smoothly on every shift
