Job summary

Meijer, Inc. is seeking a Stocking Clerk in Bradley, IL. The role involves stocking shelves, moving products from pallets to proper locations, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. Overnight shifts may be required to prepare for the day ahead.

You will work with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time and provide friendly customer interactions as needed. This position offers a path for growth within a family-oriented retailer.

Qualifications

• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Follow processes in an organized, efficient way.
• Stay calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoy being part of a team and supporting shared goals.
• Able to perform physical tasks, e.g., lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

What You'll Do

This job has a step pay plan that generally starts between the rates below with raises occurring after predetermined hours worked. The actual rate offered will meet or surpass the legal wage requirement for the job's location.

$15.85 - $16.93
