Job summary

Wegmans is seeking an Overnight Stocker to ensure our store is fully stocked, organized, and ready to serve customers each day. You will work overnight to replenish shelves and maintain a clean, safe shopping environment.

You’ll participate in efficient stock rotations, break down deliveries, and keep backroom inventory organized, while following safety and food handling procedures. This role emphasizes teamwork with the overnight crew in a fast-paced grocery setting.

Job description

Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting; Experience working overnight hours; Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as medium to heavy. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, kneeling, squatting, frequent heavy lifting, shelving of product, repetitive hand and arm movements, bending, and reaching, including reaching and lifting above shoulder height, and climbing with the use of ladders, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers. The average weight range of items lifted is 8 - 32 pounds with a maximum weight lifted greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequently. You may receive assistance with heavy items, if available. Upper extremity repetition is moderately high and trunk movement involves moderately high twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is indoors with exposure to cold (33° - 55°) and freezing (-20° - 20°) temperatures. Basic tools and equipment used include milk crates, dollies, box cutter, hand/power jack, walkie reach/hi-lo, compactor, baler, and u-cart.
