Job summary

Hims & Hers seeks an Environmental Monitoring Specialist to perform routine environmental sampling and support contamination control in sterile pharmaceutical compounding cleanrooms. This role ensures a controlled environment for aseptic operations and regulatory compliance with USP , , and 503A/503B standards.

Under supervision of the Microbiologist, you will execute the environmental monitoring program, handle samples, document results, and assist in investigations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in environmental sampling or related field.
• Knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800> and sterile compounding requirements.
• Ability to work in ISO Class 5 or cleaner environments.
• Willingness to pass ongoing garbing and aseptic competency evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine non-viable and viable air sampling, surface sampling, and personnel monitoring.
• Label and handle sampling media to maintain integrity during incubation.
• Document sampling events and results in compliance with SOPs and regulations.
• Follow sampling schedules and assist with investigations and data gathering.
• Incubate media at 20–25°C and 30–35°C and read CFUs.
• Support microbiologist with excursions and microbial investigations.
• Coordinate submission of samples to third‑party labs and maintain logs.
