Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Two years' experience working with mentally ill individuals preferred or two years of supervised internship/field placement at a human service agency.
• High school diploma with a minimum of five years' experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship for new employees during orientation and serve as a role model for staff.
• Coordinate food purchasing, menu planning, shopping lists, procurement, and storage of food supplies under supervision; liaise with nursing staff on nutritional needs.
• Review and file observation check sheets, building check sheets, and MABHA entries daily; report discrepancies to manager.
• Establish a 1:1 therapeutic relationship with each program client, providing support and safety.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living per individual treatment plans.
• Serve as active member of the Respite Treatment Team; attend staff meetings; rotate shifts; chart and report daily records; stay informed on treatment plans.
• Monitor respite clients with hourly bed checks and documentation; provide closer observation as needed.
• Share observations to develop 24-hour care plans.
• Attend change of shift meetings and provide shift report on client activities and mental status.
