Job summary

Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County is seeking a Mission Support Mentor for the Women’s Program in Fort Worth, TX. This full‑time overnight role focuses on guest check‑in, safety, and front desk operations within a women‑centered facility.

The position requires a high school diploma (some college preferred) and experience in customer service or similar settings; trauma‑informed, culturally competent interactions are essential to support residents and ensure a respectful environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Experience in a customer service environment or hospitality/retail front desk is helpful.
• Trauma-informed de-escalation and cultural competency are valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide check-in service and meet the needs of residents and guests.
• Ensure safety of facilities, employees, participants, guests, and visitors, and perform daily operational duties.
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
• Apply trauma-informed boundaries to build safe, respectful relationships with participants and guests.
• Protect confidentiality, privacy, and dignity of participants and guests.
• Collaborate with Security Patrol to respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention.
• Manage front desk phone system and be a knowledge resource for guests.
• Ensure front desk area is clean, organized, and stocked with forms.
• Monitor facility access and enforce policy with appropriate actions when violations occur.
• Observe courtyards, dorms, lobby areas, and entry/exit points for safety.
• Monitor for contraband and conduct screenings per policy.
• Scan participants in/out for meals and services.
• Complete shift reports and brief incoming staff on incidents.
• Inventory and store consumables safely.
• Participate in MDT meetings as assigned.
• Submit maintenance requests promptly.
