Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for full-time overnight shifts in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will protect clients across aerospace/defense sites, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service while maintaining a visible presence.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and compliance with background checks and drug screening. Access control and badge handling skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors following site policies.
• Respond calmly to incidents and alarms per site protocols.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of facilities and perimeter to deter issues.
• Monitor restricted access areas and verify credentials.
• Complete accurate logs, reports, and shift handoffs per procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following site protocols.
• Carry out regular/ random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and verify credentials as directed.
• Document activities and incidents with shift handoffs per procedures.
