Job summary

AHRC New York City is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) for their Queens ICF residence. The RN will evaluate and monitor health and safety needs of individuals with developmental disabilities to promote wellness, ensuring nursing care complies with regulations and agency policy.

Available Overnight Shift: 7pm-7am, Tuesday. Pay rate: $48-$50 per hour. No benefits. Join a team dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to lead full and equitable lives.

Qualifications

• Must be currently licensed as a registered professional nurse (RN) in New York State.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work as a member of a team.
• A valid NY State or Tri-State Driver's License for more than one year, with a good driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical care for assigned individuals, monitor and assess health needs and arrange follow-up care as needed.
• Assess health status through observation and document findings for care planning.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members involved in services.
• Follow up on hospitalizations, ER visits, injuries, and other health issues as needed.
• Develop nursing plans and protocols and update them as consumer status changes.
• Supervise AMAP administration of medications and ensure compliance with regulations.
