Job summary

Survey Merchandiser is seeking independent contractors to work as Overnight Retailer Merchandisers for a 5-day project in Elgin, IL and South Elgin, IL. Pay is $20/hr with an 8.5-hour shift and an unpaid lunch break.

Start date is August 30, 2026, at 10:00 PM, with arrival 15 minutes early. You will replace paper price tags with electronic shelf labels, install new labels in designated departments, unbox kits, and document progress using the Survey Merchandiser App.

Qualifications

• Proven retail merchandising experience.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand, walk, bend for extended periods.
• Smartphone (iPhone or Android) with the Survey Merchandiser App.
• 18+, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation.
• Business casual dress code: closed-toe shoes, long pants, plain shirt or polo.

Responsibilities

• Unbox electronic shelf label kits and verify all materials are included.
• Remove paper price tags from store shelves.
• Install new strips, electronic shelf labels, and associated tags in designated departments.
• Remove trash from the store and dispose of it in the dumpster.
• Palletize excess materials for pickup.
