Job summary

Jacksons is seeking an Overnight Cashier in Portland, OR to join our team during late-night hours. You’ll process transactions, keep the store clean, and help create a welcoming environment from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

The position is full-time with pay $17.50–$18.50 per hour and benefits. We value reliability, friendly communication, and teamwork. Prior cashier or retail experience is a plus; candidates must meet age requirements to handle regulated products.

Shift: full-time 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

*Overnight Shift Differential: To be eligible, you must work at least 4 hours between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet every customer with a smile, thank them for their business, and invite them back.
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate checkout service.
• Apply discounts and promotions as applicable while following all company policies and laws related to restricted sales (alcohol, tobacco, etc.).
• Maintain a clean and organized store, inside and out.
• Stock and rotate shelves, coolers, and displays properly.
• Assist with additional store duties as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Our stores require flexible availability for a 24/7 operation (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
• A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, can-do attitude.
• Reliability, integrity, and a history of doing the right thing.
• A team player with a willingness to jump in and help wherever needed.
• Prior retail or foodservice cashiering experience is a plus.
• Ability to think quickly and adapt to change.
• Must meet legal age requirements to sell regulated products (alcohol and tobacco).
