National Capital Treatment & Recovery in Arlington, VA is seeking a Residential Specialist for the overnight weekend shift. This role supports adult men and women in early recovery within a structured, therapeutic milieu, ensuring safety and sobriety during night hours.

You will document, monitor, and respond to crises with empathy and professionalism. Qualifications include a High School diploma, CSAC-A/CAC/CSAC within 6 months, and 3 years in substance abuse settings preferred; bilingual

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Certification as a substance abuse counselor (CSAC-A, CAC, CSAC) required within 6 months of employment.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a substance abuse treatment setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor therapeutic milieu and patient activities.
Conduct regular walk-throughs of the program.
Respond to patient crises and emergencies as needed.
Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and respect for patients in all interactions.
Maintain observation of all patient areas to monitor activities.
Transport patients to outside activities, night meetings, and appointments as needed.
Document behavioral changes in staff logs and patient health records.
Attend supervision and residential staff meetings as scheduled.
Maintain urine testing schedule and related documentation.
