Job summary

VetUrgency, a BluePearl Veterinary Partner in Frederick, MD, is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician for Monday overnights (6pm-7am). The role includes triage, vitals monitoring, anesthesia care, and mentorship of teammates in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Qualifications

• Active RVT license and credentialing as a veterinary technician.
• Experience in urgent care or ER settings preferred.
• Ability to triage and monitor vitals, including blood pressure and oxygen saturation.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming cases and obtain vitals (temp, HR, RR, BP).
• Monitor post-operative orthopedic patients and manage anesthesia support.
• Perform phlebotomy and IV catheter placement with proper technique.
• Take digital radiographs with correct positioning and safety.
• Administer medications and calculate medical dosages accurately.
• Identify at-risk patients and initiate CPR when needed.
• Mentor and train other team members; address client concerns professionally.
